It started with a hurricane.
In September 1996, Hurricane Fran came through the Triangle and left a whole lot of damaged houses behind. David Medvetz started Blue Sky Services to help put them back together. We never really stopped.
Thirty years of showing up.
The first jobs were roofs and siding and soaked drywall in Raleigh neighborhoods. Word got around that we did what we said we'd do, and the calls kept coming — kitchens, then additions, then a shopping center, then a 220-unit apartment community.
Today Blue Sky Services is a licensed North Carolina general contractor with two sides to the business: home remodeling for Triangle families and commercial construction for business and property owners. We've completed more than 8,000 projects across the Triangle since 1996.
What hasn't changed is the part that actually matters: you get a real person who knows your project, a written number you can rely on, and a crew that treats your property like it belongs to somebody they know. Because in this town, it usually does.

Line-item estimates, up front, in writing. If we don't know a cost yet, we say so instead of burying it in an allowance.
Real communication
One point of contact who answers. You should never have to wonder what's happening on your own project.
A clean jobsite
Floors protected, debris hauled, site swept at the end of the day. It's a small thing that tells you everything.
Finishing well
We walk the punch list with you and we're not done until you say we are. Then we stand behind the work.
